Sweet things, read slowly.

GlintMyth is a one-desk reading room for mobile games about ice cream, candy and fruit. I keep the shelf small — three titles at a time — and check every figure on this page against the Google Play listing for Canada before it goes up.

The three on the shelf

Each one was installed on an Android handset in Canada and played across a fortnight of short sessions. Developer, genre, store price, rating and review count are copied straight from the Google Play listing and are never rounded or adjusted here.

Papa's Scooperia To Go!

Flipline Studios · Simulation

A sundae counter that runs on patience rather than speed. Tickets arrive at the till, you roll and bake the cookie base, scoop on top, then finish with syrups and toppings in the exact order the customer asked for. Marks are given per station, so a calm, tidy shift reads better than a frantic one — and the day ends with a queue you can actually clear.

It is the most structured of the three: four stations, a guided opening day, and a slow drip of new ingredients tied to the in-game calendar.

A candy on a string, a small green creature waiting underneath, and a professor who bolts one new contraption onto the wall every chapter — suction cups, rope guns, sticky spiders. Every board is a two-minute physics question with three stars hidden inside the tidy answer, and the later chapters expect you to plan the whole swing before the first cut.

The 3.2 average is the lowest figure on this shelf, and the recent reviews mostly concern how an older build behaves on newer handsets — read a page of them before deciding.

Gummy Drop! Match 3 & Travel

7 Hits Games · Puzzle · free to install

A match-three board wrapped around a world map. Clearing jellies gathers timber, glass and stone; those go into rebuilding a landmark, and the landmark opens the road to the next city. Boards are short, the map is very long, and progress is stored city by city, which makes this the easiest of the three to put down in the middle of a queue.

The pieces are the clearest reason it belongs on a sweet-shop shelf: jelly hearts, boiled sweets and fruit drops, drawn large enough to read at arm's length.

Side by side

The same three titles, sorted by the things that decide whether a game survives a commute.

How the three sweet-shop titles compare on session shape, opening effort, play without a connection, store price and editorial score.
Title Typical session Getting started Plays without a connection Price on Google Play GlintMyth score
Papa's Scooperia To Go! 8–12 minutes, one shift Guided opening day across four stations Yes, the whole shift C$2.69 8.6 out of 10
Cut the Rope: Experiments GOLD 2–4 minutes, one board Immediate, then fiddly from chapter three Yes, every board C$1.19 7.4 out of 10
Gummy Drop! Match 3 & Travel 5–15 minutes, one city stop Immediate, with a very long map ahead Partly — city events want one Free 8.0 out of 10

The score in the last column is mine and reflects how each title held up over a fortnight of short sessions. Everything else in the table is either observed on the handset or copied from the Google Play listing for Canada, which is always the figure to trust.

Prices and where to buy

GlintMyth sells nothing. There is no shop on this site, no subscription, no basket and no account. Two of the three titles above carry a one-time purchase in the store; the third is free to install. Every one of those transactions happens inside Google Play, on the Google account of the person installing the game.

That means the store sets the price, issues the receipt and decides any refund under its own rules — refunds are handled by Google Play, not here. I receive no commission from these listings, and this site never sees or stores card details, because it holds no forms of any kind.

Prices below are the ones shown on Google Play Canada on 2 September 2026 and can change without notice; the store listing is always the correct figure. Two of the three listings also declare optional in-app items, which the store handles in exactly the same way.
